Wheat, Soybean Prices Higher Early Thursday; Export Sales Ahead
March corn is up 1 cent, March soybeans are up 7 cents and March KC wheat is
up 7 cents.

EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is up 1 cent, March soybeans
are up 7 cents and March KC wheat is up 7 cents.
CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, stock futures in the U.S. were trading
slightly lower, the morning after the Federal Reserve increased the federal
funds target by a quarter-percent to an upper limit of 4.75%. European stocks
are starting higher, partially encouraged by comments from Federal Reserve
Chairman Jerome Powell that U.S. rate hikes may be getting close to being done.
USDA's weekly export sales report is out at 7:30 a.m. CST Thursday, the same
time as weekly U.S. jobless claims, a report on fourth-quarter U.S.
productivity and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. The U.S. Energy
Department's natural gas storage report is at 9:30 a.m. Thursday's earning
reports include Amazon, Apple and Alphabet (Google), among others.
OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial
Average up 6.92 at 34,092.96 and the S&P 500 up 42.61 at 4,119.21. The 10-Year
Treasury yield ended at 3.53%, near the lowest yields in four months. The
10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.55%, up from the lowest yields in four
months. Early Tuesday, March Dow Jones futures are down 40 points. Asian
markets are slightly higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.20% and China's
Shanghai Composite Index up 0.02%. European markets are higher with the spot
futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.50%, spot futures of Germany's DAX
trading up 1.60% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.64%. The
March euro is up $0.0017 at $1.1022. The March U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.06
at 100.97. The March 30-year T-bond is down 4/32nds, while April gold is up
$29.10 at $1,971.90 and March crude oil is down $0.15 at $76.26. On China's
Dalian exchange, March corn was up 0.1%, March soybeans were down 1.1%, May
soybean meal was down 0.1% and May soybean oil was down 2.1%. April Malaysian
palm oil is trading down 1.8%.
